There’s an exciting opportunity to join Eurospan – Europe’s leading marketing, sales and distribution agency for publishers from North America, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Europe – as a full-time Sales Manager. You’ll become a key member of our Sales department, driving sales of our client publishers’ products across all available sales channels.

The Sales Manager will manage relationships with commissioned sales representatives in territory and line manage an in-house Sales Assistant. Previous experience working in customer account management is required. We welcome applicants with experience in either European or Asia-Pacific markets.

This is a permanent full-time role offering hybrid working based in our London office. The start date is as soon as possible. Salary will be dependent on experience. Key responsibilities

  • Maintaining and developing effective relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Managing own calling schedule, to include virtual calls and face-to-face meetings at book fairs or in territory, as appropriate.
  • Direct line managing an in-house Sales Assistant and managing relationships with network of commissioned sales representatives in-territory.
  • Presenting sales and market insights to both internal and external stakeholders, including to prestigious client publishers.
  • Communicating and working with other Eurospan teams (Marketing, Distribution Services, Operations).
  • Liaising with colleagues to deliver multi-channel B2B marketing campaigns tailored to the book trade.

Knowledge & skills required

  • At least 12 months experience working in an account management role.
  • Experience in working in a B2B or customer-facing environment.
  • An interest in academic publishing.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to independently organise workload, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • An enthusiastic team worker.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in a second language is desirable.
  • Use of email marketing software is desirable.
